What Constitution did you check last time? In fact the US Constitution does not have a right to privacy, although I think some state constitutions do.
Also, probable cause isn't necessary to require you to get a pat-down, which is also quite intrusive. You have the option to refuse both: don't fly. Most people weigh the choice and decide the security screening isn't really a big cost to pay for the benefit of quick air travel. But because of the rights that *are* in the US Constitution, you can make that choice for yourself and travel some other way.
